NDC, Inc. – IT Security Analyst
Location: Nashville, TN
Position Summary:
This position will analyze and manage the processes and procedures that mitigate physical, technical, and procedural risk to NDC information systems using industry standard tools.
Collaborate with appropriate teams to resolve or mitigate detected vulnerabilities called out in IT Security Assessments
Perform risk assessments of existing and new infrastructure providing guidance on resolving or mitigating risk
Regular threat detection reporting (e.g. event alerting, security compliance of all endpoints and servers…etc)
Perform Incident response and investigation following established guidelines
Lead the design and implementation of new security systems and strategies, including deep dive into holistic security approach
Assist, coordinate, and participate in key process improvements as they relate to the security and infrastructure environment
Conduct ongoing end user security testing and assess results
Reviews violations of security procedures; provides training to ensure violations do not recur
Coordinate and collaborate with infrastructure and software systems teams to ensure availability, reliability, scalability and security of corporate applications and servers to meet business demands
Job requirements
Required Skills and Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent experience with relevant cybersecurity related certifications
At least three years of experience with the following responsibilities:Managing firewall security settings, updates, and firmware
Managing telecom and VOIP security settings, updates, and firmware
Monitoring service desk ticketing system for security issues and prioritize accordingly
Monitoring and test security configurations, policies, and procedures
Managing penetration testing and vulnerability assessments. Analyze, track, and prioritize results
Understanding of firewalls, SIEM, antivirus, MDM/MAM, DLP, and IDPS concepts
Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and explain how to avoid them
Understanding of patch management with the ability to deploy patches in a timely manner while understanding business impact
Familiarity with TCP/IP, SIEM, EDR, firewall, and operating system management and configuration
Knowledge of Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, replication, and user management
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to identify and mitigate network vulnerabilities and misconfigurations
Proactive engagement in continually improving company’s cyber security posture and the overall protection of data assets
