The ISACA Middle Tennessee Chapter would like to invite you to our next training event. The topic of our training will be auditing Oracle databases.  The training will be held October 16 & 17 from 8:00-4:30 each day at the Nashville State Community College.

Event Description: The Oracle Database Auditor Training class helps prepare database analysts, information systems auditors, and other support personnel for a database audit. Since all students are not at the same starting point with their database knowledge, students will learn the fundamentals of relational database technologies and learn how to view and retrieve data from an Oracle database. After reviewing the fundamentals with the students, the course will move into a deeper dive of the Oracle database architecture, user profiles, password management, data protection, user roles and privileges, and the creation of security and database reports. Exercises will be executed in the class using a sample Oracle database that will be downloaded by each student before attending the training.

Keynotes and Cocktails at Fat Bottom Brewery

Join us for an evening of cocktails and cybersecurity experts in Nashville at our event, Cybersecurity for the Real World. We'll be combining hand-crafted beers and conversation on how to keep your enterprise safe from the ever-expanding attack surface.

As more and more businesses adopt IoT, cloud computing, and the BYOD movement, dangerous new attack vectors are putting data and systems at greater risk. As such, CISOs are needing to adjust their strategies that once kept the bad guys out.

Our featured speaker, Andrew Hutchinson, Executive Director for Enterprise Cybersecurity at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, will discuss the challenges that all cybersecurity organizations face as perimeters disappear, devices get “smart”, and data accessibility from anywhere is expected- while sensitive information still must be protected from falling into the wrong hands.

Please save the date for Keynotes and Cocktails at the Fat Bottom Brewery on Wednesday, October 24th. This fun venue is known for having the perfect beer for every occasion. Think they have a Malware IPA? Let’s find out.

    Space is limited, so please
