Topic : How to Detect and Contain Ransomware Before it Wreaks Havoc

Ransomware continues to cripple organizations, and while defenders always detect the threat, it is often because their infrastructure is encrypted, or they have received the ransom note! Detecting the threat at that point leaves the defenders with very few response options to contain the impact.

The goal of this webinar and the accompanying whitepaper is to help security teams understand how ransomware families make their way into and through organizations. Cataloging and describing each stage of the ransomware progression and mapping it to the MITRE ATT&CK Framework, allows us to identify the early warning signs of the ransomware. Identifying these adversaries during stages such as Initial Access, Defense Evasion or Credential Access allows the organization to take remedial action far quicker and often minimize and even eliminate the impact. In fact, research shows these early stages of ransomware attacks occur over the course of days or even weeks providing security teams much needed time to disrupt the attacker's objectives.
