MITRE ATT&CK Based Threat Hunting

This presentation will focus on developing a Threat Hunting (TH) strategy around the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.  First we will discuss the basics of TH, how to determine if you need to hunt, and how to build a program based on ATT&CK.  Then we will dive deeper into the People, Processes and Technology used in the conduct of hunting.

Speaker:  Matt King

Matt King has 14-plus years of experience as a security professional in both physical and cyber security. In the U.S. Army, he held a variety of positions ranging from Counter IED threat hunting to directing operations for large organizations. Upon leaving the military, he began his cybersecurity career managing operations for the Incident Management team at FishNet Security before switching over to consulting. More recently, he worked in Customer Success for RiskIQ developing and implementing strategies for External Threat Management.

As a Technical Account Manager in CYDERES, the Security-as-a-Service division of Fishtech Group, he helped clients implement process and technology to manage risk, detect threats, and respond to security incidents in real time.
