Morning Keynote Speaker: Steve Bongardt, President, The Gyges Group
With over 25 years of combined Security and Cybersecurity experience, Steve has 20 years as an FBI Special Agent. He was a criminal profiler, a digital forensic examiner, a Joint Terrorism Task Force member, a Counterintelligence field agent, and a SWAT operator and sniper. He is the founder of the FBI's Cyber Behavioral Analysis Program to profile hackers and malicious insiders behaviorally. Steve is currently the president and founder of The Gyges Group, where he handles virtual CISO and CSO services, cyber and criminal behavioral profiling, investigation, and physical security. Before his career in the FBI, he spent eight years as a Naval Aviator for the U.S. Navy, a graduate of the U.S. Navy's TopGun Adversary School, and worked for two years in Institutional Capital Markets on Wall Street for Smith Barney. Steve is a CISSP, a United States Naval Academy graduate, and holds a master's degree in forensic psychology from Marymount University. At the FBI, he held several certifications - Criminal investigative Analysis, Digital Forensic Examiner, Cyber Intrusion and Investigations, Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, FBI SWAT Sniper and Operator, National Behavioral Science research Certificate, Adjunct Professor to the University of Virginia, and FBI Online Undercover Certification and Instructor.
Afternoon Keynote Speaker: Kim Green, CISO, Cost Plus World Market
Kim Green has served in several executives and senior-level IT and InfoSec roles, and as an advisor and investor to several security and healthcare companies. She currently serves as CISO for Cost Plus World Market. With over 30 years of experience in both private and public healthcare sectors, Kim has consulted federal and state government healthcare agencies and private companies on security and privacy best practices. Kim routinely speaks internationally on security and privacy topics. In 2013, she spoke to members of the European Commission in Brussels on behalf of the COCIR European Trade Association, providing recommendations for GDPR. Kim studied computer software engineering and computer science at Brandeis University and Cal Lutheran University and has held several security and healthcare compliance certifications. She also served in the United States Army, 3rd Armored Division in munitions and explosive ordnance, and was awarded the Army Achievement Medal for her exemplary service.
