Topic : Being an Effective Cybersecurity Leader and Running an Impactful Cyber Program

Many organizations struggle to determine the right level of investment for cybersecurity programs. That leaves cyber leaders with the challenging job of determining where to allocate the right mix of people and technology while at the same time justifying the spend and managing executive expectations.  This talk will focus on the areas where we see many cyber programs struggle, where to dig in, the basic building blocks, and to report risk.

Speaker:   Scott King, Senior Director Advisory Services, Rapid7

Bio: Scott has over 20 years experience in the cybersecurity and IT fields. He has worked extensively in the energy industry, DoD, state government, technology, and manufacturing industries. He brings a unique mixture of hands-on experience in incident response, pentesting, forensics, SecOps, architecture, engineering, and executive leadership.
